Tripura sweep: 7th Pay Commission promise helped BJP woo government employees

The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) big win against the Left Front in Tripura is attributed to various reasons, chief among them being the promise to implement Seventh Pay Commission in the state.

State government employees in Tripura continue to draw salaries on the basis of the Fourth Pay Commission. This is in contrast to Central government employees who are now getting salaries on the basis of Seventh Pay Commission recommendations.

This government announced a big gift, to implement 7th CPC recommendations for civic employees too

It’s a big financial gift to civic employees of Puducherry government. The Puducherry government has said that it would soon implement the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission pay panel report for civic employees also. PWD and Local Administration Minister A Namassivayam said already the government staff had been sanctioned the revised pay structure in keeping with the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission.

Revised pay-scale for govt. employees soon

Minister for Medical Education Sharanprakash Patil has said that the State government is likely to soon announce the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission that would revise the pay-scale of six lakh State government employees.

Maharashtra Government staff to wait longer for 7th pay commission

Government and semi-government employees will have to wait for six to eight months for implementation of the seventh pay commission. The pay-fixation committee led by former additional chief secretary K.P. Bakshi, which was appointed by the state, will take at least five months to submit its report. Hearings will start next month, said sources.
