Maharashtra Government staff to wait longer for 7th pay commission

Government and semi-government employees will have to wait for six to eight months for implementation of the seventh pay commission. The pay-fixation committee led by former additional chief secretary K.P. Bakshi, which was appointed by the state, will take at least five months to submit its report. Hearings will start next month, said sources.

Junior level central government employees may get salary hike

While the central government has decided to keep the salary of mid and senior level central government employees unchanged, it is considering a proposal to raise the salary of all central government employees whose pay falls within pay matrix level

No 8th Pay Commission, the government is looking at an alternative to revise future salaries

In a move that may not go down well with the central government employees, the government has decided to do away with Pay Commission in the future.

According to The Sen Times report, no new Pay Commission would be formed in future for increasing salaries of central government employees. “The government is determined to take strong decision in this regard,” a top finance ministry official was quoted by the Sen Times report.
