7th Pay Commission – Hike in Higher Allowances unlikely, Empowered Committee may Stick to 7CPC Recommendations

Central government employees, who have been waiting for higher allowances under the 7th Pay Commission since July last year, may not receive any good when the Empowered Committee of Secretaries (E-CoS) table its report before the Cabinet.

The meeting on updates of seventh pay commission allowances is likely to take place today between Union leaders of central government officials and top government officials, according to a NDTV report.

The seventh pay commission was constituted in February 2014 to review the principles and structure of emoluments of all central government civilian employees including Defence forces and submitted its report on 19 November 2015.

Central government employees may soon get a good news regarding the 7th Pay Commission recommendations as the Committee on Allowances is likely to submit its report to the Finance Ministry this week.
