Pre-2006 PBOR Defence Pensioners to get revised pension from 1st January 2006 intead of 24.09.2012 as per Hon’ble Supreme Court Decision for revision of pre-2006 Defence and Civilian Pensioners on the basis of revised fitment Table
After implementation of 6th Pay Commission, Defence Pension in respect of Pre-2006 Defence Pensioners was fixed as per Ministry’s letter No. 17(4)/2008(1)/D (Pen/Pol) dated 11.11.2008 which ensured that revised pension shall in no case be lower than fifty percent and thirty percent respectively, of the minimum of the Pay in Pay Band plus the Grade Pay corresponding to the pre-revised scale from which the pensioner had retired/ discharged/invalided out/died including Military Service Pay and “X” group pay where applicable. Since, this fixation resulted in lot of pension anomaly, Defence Pensioners sought legal remedy. After, Defence Pensioners got favourable orders, Govt revised the Pension by taking minimum of fitment table for the Rank in the revised pay band and grade pay with effect from 24.09.2012. However, Defence Pensoners approached Hon’ble Suprement Court for revising their Pre-2006 Pension with effect from 1st January 2006.
Hon’ble Supreme Court considered the plea in favour of pre-2006 Defence pensioners and dismissed Department’s appeal. Now All Defence Pensioners retired in the rank of Commissioned officers will be entitled for revision of Penion with effect from 1st January 2006, as per the revised fitment table given in this order in line with Civilian Pensioner who have also been granted similar revision of pension from 01.01.2006.
In case, the consolidated pension/family pension calculated as per Para 4.1 of this Ministry’s letter No. 17(4)/2008(1)/D(Pen/Pol) dated 11.11.2008 is higher than the pension/family pension calculated in the fitment table given in this order dated 03.09.2015, the same (higher consolidated pension/family pension) will continue to be treated as basic pension/ family pension
When revised pension in terms of GO, MOD letter No.PC-10(1)/2009-D(Pen/Pol) dated 08.03.2010 and No. 1(13)/2012/D(Pen/Policy) dated 17.01.2013 is higher than the rate indicated in this Order dated 03.09.2015, then the same will continue to be treated as basic pension/family pension from 1.07.2009 and 24.09.2012 respectively.
Defence pensioners retired in Commissioned Officers rank have also been issued with similar orders.

I was retired on 01 march 1997.For getting my pension revised wef 01 Jan 2006 to whom I should contact and I can get my pension revised.Is it not done automatically.

It is noticed that till 6th CPC pension in respect of equivalent ranks of Army, Navy and Air Force was equal but in letter dt 30 Sep 16 pension in respect of Naik rank and Havildar rank of are getting less pension that of their equivalent rank of Navy and Air Force. Remaining Rank are getting equal pension in three services.

respected sir I am Ex LRO(TEL) No.113028H from NavyDOE 02 Feb 1984 DOR 28 Feb 1999. total service 15 Years . basic as per orop + Applicable DA = 7170+8533= rs. 15703
less commutation portion shall be your current net pension.
as per 7 cpc your basic pension shall be .= your basic pension as per orop table multiplied by 2.57 . i.e. 7170 x 2.57 = 18426 shall be your basic pension wef 1.1.2016 onwards.
less your commutation portion and add recent 2% DA hike to arrive net pension.
Even you may add medical allowance of Rs. 500 in case if you are drawing.

Sir shall we ever get this unseen gift ? We are lagging behind DPDOs only to hear that they did not get implimention order or sometimes programmer has not been received. Why don't they simply say they will not give. Sir, we should better approach the Apex Court to annel the verdict or contempt of court. Would you please tell when these orders be implemented ?
