The Central Government had merged 50% of the Dearness Allowance (DA) with the basic pay w.e.f. 01.04.2004 and the Dearness Allowance continued to be calculated with reference to the AICPI (IW) average as on 1st January, 1996 of 306.33 without changing the index base consequent to the merger. Accordingly, Dearness Allowance (DA) at following rates were sanctioned from 01.07.2004 till 01.07.2007.

The Central Government on the recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission had decided that the Dearness Allowance (DA) admissible to all categories of Central Government employees shall be at the following rates.

With the current All India Consumer Price Index number (AICPIN) the DA 0n 01.01.2016 is expected to be 125%.

 

DA (Dearness Allowance) Calculation Based on AICPIN

The expected All India Consumer Price Index number (AICPIN) for Industrial Workers (Base 2001=100) for the month of December 2011 has already been released by Statistical Department. Based on this AICPIN index, expected DA (Dearness Allowance) percentage for 1st January 2016 is calculated.

Establish link between DA - EPS

Sir, , I want to know that every quarterly Govt is announcing DA to Central Govt.,PSU employee, Pensioners etc. Is there any link of DA to the EPS beneficiary too if not why ? being a EPS beneficiary I am getting Rs. 1700/- per month since march'2011 till date, where as DA rate from 2011 & march 2016 can be compared I had also served for nation in a PSU why I am getting only Rs. 1700/- pm

SIR, MYSELF RETIRED ON 31 MAY 2016 AFTER PUTTING MY 34 YEARS OF SINCERE SERVICE. MY LAST BAND PAY WAS RS 11150/- AND GRADE PAY WAS 2400/- AS PER EXISTING 6TH CPC. NOW, WHAT WILL BE MY PRESENT MONTHLY PENSION, COMMUTATION VALUE AND GRATUITY AMOUNT PAYABLE TO ME WEF 01 JAN 2016 AS PER 7TH CPC PLEASE.
